Lee Jae-myung mentioned that the increased defense budget will be used to introduce cutting-edge science and technology and assets. Regarding the security issues on the Korean Peninsula, Lee Jae-myung called for a meeting between Trump and North Korea's Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un. Trump responded that meeting with Kim Jong-un is a "very good thing," and the U.S. side will advance the relevant work, believing that the U.S. and South Korea can make significant progress in peninsula affairs.
